BloodChild

When i first started to read it i was very confused and for some reason i pictured the creatures as wolves. Throughout the reading i was having a lot of trouble visualizing the story. After discussing it in class i can now picture the story and now understand it a lot better. Its so crazy that in order to them to reproduce they have to lay their eggs inside an animal. I really wonder how she came up with this creative story, i don't think i have ever thought of something like this. I think the author could have done a better job explaining and describing who was the narrator. My over all thought of this story would be interesting and creative.

  1. She actually got the idea for the story from the botfly. She was going to be traveling to the Peruvian Amazon and was afraid of the bot fly laying eggs under her skin. She took her fear and turned it into an interesting and disturbing story. I never would have thought that someone could create a story like this to cope with a problem or fear. I usually just write poetry but this has sparked a lot of new ideas for me.

  2. While these are both good posts they are not long enough to count.
